Upper Sacramento River Rafting
The Sacramento River begins in Northern California near Castle Craggs State Park. It is the longest river in the state of California. It flows south out of Lake Siskiyou for about 30 raucous miles before mellowing out in Lake Shasta. While I-5 parallels the Upper Sacramento River, you won't notice. The interstate is high above and the fantastic whitewater will keep your attention.
All rafting trips on the Sacramento River are in this short section. After Lake Shasta, the Sacramento River slows down and picks up major tributaries on its way to the state capital of Sacramento. While Upper Sacramento River Rafting is several hours from the city of Sacramento California it is well worth the trip.
