Parkdale Rafting Trip Description A Parkdale rafting trip is usually included with a full day Royal Gorge rafting trip or run separately as a half day rafting trip. This is the lower part of the Arkansas River and the weather and water are usually warmer here. The river is generally higher than the runs upstream due to several creeks adding water to the river.
The Parkdale rafting section parallels US Hwy 50 but because there are many class III & IV rapids, you don't notice the road very much. Other people in your group who chose not to go rafting can follow along and watch as you splash through rapids such as 3 rocks, Spike Buck, and Shark's Tooth. There are some mellow sections of river where you can swim along side the raft.
There are many rafting outfitters that offer Parkdale rafting trips. Several of these rafting outfitters are featured below. Please contact them to book your Parkdale rafting trip. |

We did this trip at about 2700 CFS,and it was a great time. We rapids were a lot of fun and spaced out so there is time recoup in between them. This is an excellent first rafting trip.

I've been on several sections of the Arkansas River. Two years ago we did a 1/2 day trip with a large group. It worked out great because it's easy to get there from Colorado Springs and Pueblo. Not everyone in our trip wanted to go and they were able to see us enjoy some of the rapids from the river bank. It's a great 1/2 day trip. I've also done this section as part of a Royal Gorge full day and that was good too because we were able to warm up on some slightly easier water. |

We had the pleasure of doing the Parkdale Rafting trip in June when the water was high. We were supposed to do the Royal Gorge but the water was just too high. It was a good trip with fun rapids. The highway follows the river for the entire trip but we really didn't even notice it. |
