Keystone Colorado Rafting |
Keystone, Colorado sits in the very popular resort area called Summit County on Interstate I-70. It is an easy drive from Denver so it is a favorite to the metro residents and people who are on a short holiday who are either staying in Denver or flying into Denver. Keystone is often one of the first ski areas to open and one of the last to close. It is also one of the few lit ski areas, so you can ski until 9 p.m. on 13 lighted trails. Also very close to Keystone is Arapahoe Basin (A-Basin) which is Colorado's highest ski area. It's base sits at 10,800 feet and it is also known for opening early in the season and closing late in the season. A-Basin has 2250 of vertical drop.
Certainly one of the biggest attractions to Keystone is the ability to ski at night. Since Keystone is so close to Silverthorne, Frisco, Breckenridge, and Dillon you can enjoy all of these town's attractions and activities too.
In the winter you can go skiing at either Keystone, A-Basin, or another Summit County resort, cross-country skiing at Keystone Cross-Country Skiing Center or in the surrounding National Forest Land, and snowmobiling. In the summer, enjoy mountain biking, golfing, hiking, camping, fishing, horseback riding, boating and sailing on Lake Dillon, and shopping. |
