 Telluride Colorado, the land where people come to play. Telluride Colorado may be considered the one and only hidden gem of the Rocky Mountains, located deep in the Southwestern corner of Colorado. Telluride Colorado's rich history began with the Ute Indians who called the Telluride the "Valley of Hanging Waterfalls". Then in the 1870's the prospectors and miners came and found gold, then suddenly became the mining establishment of Telluride creating a hotel, opera house, bars and banks. Even Butch Cassidy came and left with some $25,000 of stolen money, of which was never recovered. Slowly the mines began to slow and in 1970 the Telluride Ski Resort was created. Still today Telluride Colorado still prospers.

Too many winters in Telluride are just as magnificent as the summers. Telluride Ski Resort offers terrain for all levels of skiers, however Telluride Ski Resort is considered to have some of the most vertical and technical terrain any Ski Resort has to offer.
