I'm not sure what Tim is talking about. And he can't spell. This is a fun trip at least at high water. And it was hot and sunny when we did it. Maybe he saw the Upper Lochsa in the early season when it was still cold and the water hadn't started flowing yet. He is correct about the road being next to the river. However, we never really noticed it. I'd definitely check it out. |

I've done this trip once with Three Rivers raft company. It was really boring and extremely cold. If you are looking to get away from it all this is not the trip for you as there is a highway running right next to the river the whole time. I'm told it rains a lot during the short rafting season on the Lochsa which would explain the crapy weather. From what I've seen California whitewater is waaayyy more exciting. Besies other than rafting what are you gonna do? Go check the beautiful potato fields?
