I did this trip at the end of June. The river was at a medium level and the whitewater was good. The canyon is incredible. At the beginning of the trip, the water was cold and clear. The river seemed really small but our guides navigated it with ease. The first 4 days or so there were hot springs to soak in.
What a luxury. I felt very clean even though I hadn't been in a modern shower for days. As we traveled down the river, the canyon walls became deeper and the river totally changed character. We went for a few side hikes.
This was an incredible experience. I would recommend that anyone who can spare 6 or 7 days go on this trip. A life changing experience. |
