South of Bozeman and Belgrade along highway 191 lies the town of Gallatin Gateway, a thriving community offering big city amenities with a mountain town atmosphere. Gallatin Gateway is also conveniently located between both Bridger Bowl and Big Sky Ski Resorts.
Gallatin Gateway was named because it is a major gateway into Yellowstone National Park. Originally, it was called Salesville, after the two Sales brothers who operated a mill there in the 1860s. Once famous for its dude ranches, today, tourists of all types find themselves enjoying this friendly community on their way in and out of Yellowstone.
When visiting Gallatin Gateway, be sure to bring your ski boots, hiking boots, bike, and fishing rod! |
