We have rafted all over the East , so when we went out to
Western Mass to raft the Monroe Bridge section of the
Deerfield River we were not expecting much. Were we quite
surprised. The river is narrow and tight with quite a few
steep technical rapids. The run is short but has a lot of
class III-IV action. We went with a smaller outfitter who
offered two runs. The called it double trouble which is the
way to go. Great Trip in our back yard!
