Located at the foothills of the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains but within convenient reach of the Washington DC, Purcellville offers a combination of scenic beauty and unique cultural offerings. Purcellville has been a destination for visitors since 1874 when the Washington & Old Dominion Railroad first began service that brought farm products east to Washington.
Purcellville is the largest town and the center of commerce in western Loudoun County. In our historic downtown, you’ll find antique and gift shops, restaurants and one of the oldest hardware stores in the country. Both the restored train station that serves as a community center and the Bush Tabernacle that was originally built for temperance and evangelical meetings are perfect venues for community events such as art shows, concerts, and community dances.
