The Russell Fork of the Big Sandy River flows through the Pine Ridge Mountains forming what is referred to as the Great Breaks of the Pine Ridge. In this 1600 ft deep chasm you will see giant vertical walls and fantastic whitewater.
Most rafting outfitters run the Russell Fork in two sections. The advanced trip combines the two upper sections while the beginner family trip is the lower section that ends in Elkhorn City Kentucky.
