River Time Guide Service General Policies River Time Guide Service trips are created with fun, curious, and nature-loving adventurers in mind. Our Salmon River Journey is ideal for those with a zest for the outdoors, moderate adventures, and self-determined activity levels. While you should be fit and in good health for this trip, you need not be a honed athlete. First timers, families, friends, experienced rafters, and independent and mature travelers are welcome and thrive on our Salmon River Journeys. No previous experience is necessary. In fact, this trip has again and again proven to be just right for those on their first wilderness rafting adventure. Our minimum age is 6, except for high water trips, in which the minimum age is 14. The maximum age is up to you! Your guides will gladly help with any aspect of our trip that is new for you, whether that means setting up a new tent or learning to paddle.
Weather
The Salmon River Journey begins at an elevation of approximately 3,000 feet. May and early June can be cool with temperatures in the 50to 80s during the day and colder at night. Temperatures in July, August and early September are typically in the 80s and 90s during the day with warm evenings in the 60s. Of course, mountain storms can occur any time and weather in any river canyon can be unpredictable. Therefore, it is important to closely follow the gear packing list that we provide you in the trip confirmation packet.

Cancellation/Reservation Policies |

If this is the trip for you then give us a call at 866-872-5666 to find out if space is available on the date(s) you want. If there is space you can either reserve your spot with a credit card over the phone or send a check. A $300 per person deposit is required to reserve space on all Salmon River trips. The balance is due 60 days before your trip departs. Reservations made within the 60-day period before trip departure must include payment in full. However you choose to reserve space, we recommend doing it as early as possible in order to assure availability.
CONFIRMATION PACKET
After we receive your reservation and deposit we will send you a confirmation packet that includes items such information, a comprehensive gear list, and a letter with the balance due date. In addition, you will receive a Trip Preparation Outline that offers information about cultural differences, transportation on the trip etc.
